Parent Teacher Association
Our PTA is managed by a voluntary committee of parents, staff and governors, who work together to raise extra funds for the benefit of the children, whilst at the same time, bringing together the whole school community to have fun and socialize with each other.We are a Registered Charity and although we have a main core working party, all parents, staff and governors are automatically members of the PTA, and we are always happy for anyone to attend our meetings - dates will be advertised in the School and PTA Newsletters.
There is an AGM every October when the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Committee are elected and agree to meet on average once every six weeks to plan and organise the next event
We have run various events throughout the years - Children's Discos, Christmas Fayre, Summer Fete, Spring Fayre, Family Bingo, organising a trip to London for the children and families from the school to name but a few .
Previously, we have raised funds towards many items such as the Play Trail, musical instruments, cooking equipment, Reception outdoor equipment and most recently, the new Central Library.
Our events are well supported and promote a community spirit within the school for the children, parents and teachers alike, but can only take place with the help and support of everyone. Therefore, if you would like to come along to our meetings or join the helpers list please complete the section at the end and hand it into the school office and a member of the PTA will contact you.
